Yo, it's J-R3MI
I wanna start this album off
With a bit of an introduction on how this project was made
It started back in my sophomore year of college
When I was having some doubts about being in college
And with my planned major in art
That didn't end up working out
And I ended up switching my major to creative writing
Partly to do what I'm doing right now
Anyway, uh, one day, my buddy Chris
Who went to high school with me and at this time was producing
Sent me a beat called "Better Than Ever," and the rest is history
Now, here we are together
With him executive producing the entire project

It's been a long road, and a lot's changed
Some people who were with us when we started
This journey aren't here anymore
And we've made some new friends along the way

Near the end of my class' college journey
COVID came and ruined some of our plans including graduation
But we still did the thing
Some of us walked across stage that following year; some of us didn't
But we got through it, and now we're all doing great big things
Well maybe not big things, and maybe not all of us
But that's okay too
All in due time

Either way, we're living life
And like my journey making this album and throughout college
It has its ups and downs
We just gotta get through those slumps, so we can enjoy those highs
I hope you all are doing well and living
In one of those bright parts of your life right now
If not, I hope this can help in some small way

And thank you to whoever has supported me
Throughout my rap career so far

Je veux commencer cet album
Avec une petite introduction sur la façon dont ce projet a été réalisé
Tout a commencé en deuxième année de fac
Quand j'avais quelques doutes sur le fait d'être à l'université
Et avec ma majeure prévue en art
Qui n'a pas abouti
Et j'ai fini par changer de majeure pour l'écriture créative
En partie pour faire ce que je fais en ce moment
Quoi qu'il en soit, un jour, mon pote Chris
Avec qui j'étais au lycée et qui à ce moment-là produisait
M'a envoyé un beat appelé "Better Than Ever", et le reste appartient à l'histoire
Maintenant, nous sommes là ensemble
Avec lui en tant que producteur exécutif de l'ensemble du projet

Ce fut un long chemin, et beaucoup de choses ont changé
Certaines personnes qui étaient avec nous quand nous avons commencé
Ce voyage ne sont plus là
Et nous avons fait de nouveaux amis en chemin

Vers la fin du parcours universitaire de ma classe
Le COVID est arrivé et a ruiné certains de nos projets, y compris la remise des diplômes
Mais on a quand même fait le truc
Certains d'entre nous ont marché sur scène l'année suivante ; certains d'entre nous ne l'ont pas fait
Mais on a survécu, et maintenant on fait tous de grandes choses
Eh bien, peut-être pas de grandes choses, et peut-être pas tous
Mais c'est bon aussi
Tout en temps voulu

Quoi qu'il en soit, on vit la vie
Et comme mon parcours à la création de cet album et pendant mes études
Il a ses hauts et ses bas
Il faut juste passer à travers ces creux, pour pouvoir profiter de ces sommets
J'espère que vous allez bien et que vous vivez
Dans l'une de ces parties brillantes de votre vie en ce moment
Sinon, j'espère que cela pourra aider d'une manière ou d'une autre
