So, I graduated in law in 2014
I did two years in a law firm, which were a bit of a drag
With the work phone practically exploding all the time
I'd wanted to try this music thing for ages
But, I don't know, everyone kept saying they saw me behind a desk
That I needed a more serious job, a white-collar job

I don't go to the office anymore and things are going pretty well, I must say
I've written a couple of songs for other artists that have worked
But despite everything, my friends, my family, even though some songs with my words
Ended up on the charts and stayed there for a while
Even though everyone sings and dances to those words, they're still not convinced
They always tell me the same thing, that I should live a different life
