Vengeance sought in his family's name
Saw a king's man to an early grave
For this, the king condemned him for his crimes

King's forces are marching north
To reclaim the lands he ruled
Where he met the army of the northmen
And so his fate

Battles fought
For crown of the north
Kingdoms fall
And kingdoms rise up

King Olav was slain that day
Alone he fell, by the stones he lay

Fire
And snow
Marks the age of new kingdom

And still
The old lands
Forced to embrace the new faith

Old man stands alone
Gazes at the pale sky
And to Nordic seas
Where not so long ago
Longships weathered many storms

Battles fought
For crown of the north
Kingdoms fall
And kingdoms rise up

Fire and snow will descend on those
Who dare to stake their claims
To royal blood and land
On the frosty plains of Stiklestad
Lies bones in soil
Of men who fought and died
