Above a blue lotus flower,
Time stood still for a second.
On the shore, a girl braids her hair,
A her voice is very soft.
You can hear the clatter of the wind
Against the crowns of the redwoods.
Thousands of miles away,
I can hear her gentle song.

A young man with a slender body,
Unties a boat from the shore.
In the reeds by the bay,
The moon has risen from the waves.
Silver coins of the Chen dynasty
Shower down from the sky onto the earth.
And the old poet Li Po,
Writes poetry on parchment.

In a wizard's hat,
A tiger and a hippopotamus hide.
The girl's heart trembles,
As the boy approaches across the water.
The waves flow gently,
The poet has magical powers.
