Y fue al desabrocharse ella el quinto botón
De los seis de la bata
Que por la enfermedad, o bien por la emoción
Él estiró la pata...
Pero lo grave estuvo, en que estiró algo más
Y un algo tan notorio
Que los deudos al verlo exclamaron: ¡jamás!
¡jamás iremos al velorio!
Ni al entierro tampoco porque al ataúd
No habrá quien le eche el cierre
Irse a morir así, en plena senectud
Y Andrés erre que erre
Nadie fue al funeral
Nadie llevo una flor
Nadie fue al cementerio
Y hasta escandalizó al mismo enterrador
Que dijo: "Esto no es serio..."
Y al pobre Don Andrés lo enterraron muy mal
Entreabierta la caja
La muerte lo abrazaba de un modo especial
Lo que tampoco es paja...
