Bedtime story - feat. YUKI

I turn off the light and embrace my pillows,
Recalling the bedtime story that my mother told me.
With book in hand and bare feet,
I turn the pages in my mind.
In exchange for a lost voice,
I take my place by the shore, where a mermaid prays.
If only I could climb the braided rope,
I feel as though I could reach the vast sky and beyond.

In these days of strife, love grows weary, and night's curtain falls.
The rocking horse sways, representing both the past and future, like a story's end.
A happy ending?
The sound of glass slippers,
And the Queen of Hearts, scheming and persuasive.
If I write these thoughts upon my heart and drift away to sleep, perhaps I will see you in my dreams.
I yearn for that nostalgic reunion.
