Susanna

Susanna has a house yonder riverside
She takes you to feel the water and the boats, at dusk
And the night with her is yours
She's half mad and it tempts you
And she gives you tea and oranges from foreign lands
And you just go and tell her that you have no love left for her
She promptly picks up on it
Looks at the river and hints
That she has a love for ever
And you want to take the road with her
And you know that she’s blind
And you know that she trusts you, that her body is given to you for free.
And Jesus, a sailor one day, when he crossed the water barefoot
He spent some time as a lookout and saw that they were looking for him
