I'm a good one if compared to a bad one
Maybe a good one is enough

Take this time to get yourself free

I'm done with poetry
I wanna be obvious

Man it's a slow burn when you come in out of the rain
And I'm somewhere between pretty and plain
It's a good day if compared to a bad day
Maybe a good day is enough

Ain't no Prairie, ain't no jungle
Ain't no ocean, I don't want to travel
Ain't no endings, ain't no trophies
Ain't no good love that hasn't broke me

I ain't much for holding on to the pieces
I am more for letting them blow with the breezes
There's always a new heart after the old heart
Maybe a new heart is enough

Perséides

On pourrait dire qu'il y a eu beaucoup d'obscurité,
On pourrait dire juste un peu de lumière,
On pourrait dire la même chose, je suppose,
De l'univers ce soir.

Toute cette tempête a commencé avec le battement d'aile d'un papillon,
J'espérais pouvoir y mettre fin en faisant la même chose.
Je suis quelqu'un de bien comparé à quelqu'un de mauvais,
Peut-être qu'être quelqu'un de bien est suffisant.

Prends ce temps pour te libérer,
Prends ce temps pour te remettre à zéro,
J'en ai fini avec la poésie,
Je veux être clair.

C'est une combustion lente quand on sort de la pluie,
Et je suis quelque part entre joli et simple,
C'est une bonne journée comparée à une mauvaise journée,
Peut-être qu'une bonne journée est suffisante.

Il n'y a pas de prairie, il n'y a pas de jungle,
Il n'y a pas d'océan, je ne veux pas voyager,
Il n'y a pas de fins, il n'y a pas de trophées,
Il n'y a pas de bon amour qui ne m'ait pas brisé.

Je ne suis pas du genre à m'accrocher aux morceaux,
Je préfère les laisser s'envoler avec la brise,
Il y a toujours un nouveau cœur après l'ancien,
Peut-être qu'un nouveau cœur est suffisant.
