Sometimes I kind of miss the old XJ-9 that we used to call Jane
Really good at cleaning and we got along fine so I couldn′t complain
Lately she'd been getting tangled up in the shag rug
And finally one wheel just wouldn′t spin
So we said our goodbyes and I traded her in
This new one's kind of creepy, makes me shudder inside with his idiot grin
He's head to toe with muscles and they ripple and slide under translucent skin
Sometimes he′ll stand for hours looking into the mirror
And flexing like some guy at the gym
And I′m easily ten inches shorter than him
Todd the T1000 scares me
I don't think he knows I′ve got a right to exist
And he sits in my favorite chair and dares me
And when I look over he is making a fist
One finger at a time
I ask him if he'll vacuum and he doesn′t respond, but I know that he heard
I turn and catch him looking when he thinks that I'm gone and he flips me the bird
I asked him when we started, please stay out of the bedroom
But I don′t think I'm safe anywhere
When I wake in the dark I can tell that he's there

I don′t think he knows I′ve got a right to exist
And he sits in my favorite chair and dares me
And when I look over he is making a fist

So I live like a ghost while he's living like me
It′s not my house anymore
And I sneak out the door while he's watching TV
Head down to the cyborg store
I get some new arms installed at the store
Buy the biggest ones I can
Head back to my house, Todd answers the door
He sees more than just a man
My right arm is a smasher like the trunk of a tree and the left one′s a saw
I cut the couch in half and I smash the TV with my big smashy claw
He's standing still and silent, I can′t tell what he's thinking
He blinks a single glowing red eye
So I give him a shove and then Todd starts to cry
Todd the T1000 scares me
But I think he knows I've got right to exist
And he sits in my favorite chair and dares me
But when he looks over I am making a fist

Parfois, je me dis que j'aimerais bien retrouver l'ancienne XJ-9 que l'on appelait Jane
Elle était vraiment douée pour le ménage et on s'entendait bien, alors je ne pouvais pas me plaindre
Dernièrement, elle s'emmêlait souvent dans le tapis à poils longs
Et finalement, une roue a refusé de tourner
Alors on s'est dit au revoir et je l'ai échangée
Ce nouveau modèle est un peu effrayant, il me donne des frissons avec son sourire idiot
Il est recouvert de muscles, qui ondulent et glissent sous sa peau translucide
Parfois, il reste debout pendant des heures à se regarder dans le miroir
Et à se muscler comme un mec à la salle de sport
Et je suis facilement dix centimètres plus petit que lui

Et il s'assoit dans mon fauteuil préféré et me provoque
Et quand je le regarde, il serre le poing

Je lui demande s'il va passer l'aspirateur, il ne répond pas, mais je sais qu'il a entendu
Je me retourne et le surprends à me regarder quand il pense que je suis parti, et il me fait un doigt d'honneur
Je lui ai dit dès le début, s'il te plaît, reste à l'écart de la chambre à coucher
Mais je ne crois pas que je sois en sécurité nulle part
Quand je me réveille dans le noir, je sens qu'il est là

Alors je vis comme un fantôme pendant qu'il vit comme moi

Et je me faufile par la porte pendant qu'il regarde la télé
Je vais au magasin de cyborgs
Je me fais installer de nouveaux bras au magasin

Je retourne chez moi, Todd ouvre la porte
Il voit plus qu'un homme
Mon bras droit est un écrabouilleur comme le tronc d'un arbre et le gauche est une scie
Je coupe le canapé en deux et je fracasse la télé avec ma grosse griffe écrabouisseuse
Il reste immobile et silencieux, je ne sais pas ce qu'il pense
Il cligne du seul œil rouge qui brille
Alors je lui donne un coup de poing et Todd se met à pleurer
