Im Kino spielen sie was tolles
Aber is des wirklich alles
Ein paar haben einen Kamin und Designerbrillen
Die anderen tuan grillen

Der Eine wird Vertreter für harte Drogen
Der Andere wird Vertreter für Schuheinlagen

Und denken sich komisch im Kino war das immer toller

Und heiratet eine Krankenschwester und wird Krankenpfleger

Die Meisten sind Topfenneger
Im Urlaub haben sie einen Tennisschläger
Und in der Nacht fahren sie besoffen übern Randstein
Und sind Lärmerreger und dann brauchen sie einen Wagenheber

Ein Dritter hobelt Lattenbretter
Und heiratet nach Damaskus und wird Attentäter

Am Schluss sind alle immer blöder
Und hängen meistens am Katheder
Die allerwenigsten werden Leichenträger
Aber jeder wird vom Leichenträger einmal Auftraggeber

So endet das Leben

On vacation they have a tennis racket
And at night they drive drunk over the curb
And are noisemakers and then they need a car jack

A third planes lath boards
And marries to Damascus and becomes an assassin

In the end they are all always more stupid
And mostly hang on the lectern
Very few become pallbearers
But everyone becomes a client of the pallbearer once
