Also cruisen wir zu "Cruisin'" hoch, verstehst du, was ich damit meine? Äh, dieser Song
repräsentiert einen Übergang, ähm, wo wir die feierliche
, Ähm, Atmosphäre verlassen und anfangen, nachdenklicher zu werden. Das ist wie
die Heimfahrt und, ähm, sich auf das Schlafengehen vorzubereiten. Ursprünglich war die Idee
für den Song Gedanken vor dem Schlafengehen, wo man wirklich
ehrlich wird, verstehst du? Introspektiv. Und ich wollte einen Song haben, der das klanglich
darstellt, deshalb ist er so smooth, sehr, ähm, entspannt, das ist dieser Cruising-Song. Ich hoffe,
er bringt den Zuhörer an einen Ort, an dem er sich in mir und in
meiner Geschichte wiederfindet und sich dazu inspiriert fühlt, Vertrauen zu haben, dass, ähm, wenn du
schläfst, du absolut hilflos bist, du kannst nichts tun. Du bist
am verletzlichsten und demütigsten, wenn du dich ausruhst. Und
es ist etwas Tiefgründiges daran, wenn eine Person mit Vertrauen
ins Bett geht, ähm, besonders wenn das Vertrauen
am richtigen Ort ist. Und der richtige Ort ist, dass, obwohl
ich schlafe, Gott immer noch für mich sorgt, er immer noch
souverän alles zum Guten wirkt, also gehe ich beruhigt ins Bett.
