I've past that little black building
Down on the corner so many times

It looked like an empty dwelling
With its cracked façade
Dusty windows
Curtains withdrawn
No lights
No signs of anything.

She had the same idea.
That old guy
That always hangs out

The liquor store

That led to a staircase in the back

I counted seven doors

Bâtiment noir

Je suis passé devant ce petit bâtiment noir

Des fenêtres poussiéreuses
Des rideaux retirés
Pas de lumières
Aucun signe de quoi que ce soit.

Elle avait la même idée.
Ce vieux type
Qui traîne toujours
Dehors
Devant le magasin d'alcool

M'a dit qu'il avait déjà vu le diable
Dans l'une de ces fenêtres là-haut
Lui faisant un bisou.
Il avait un certain sérieux (presque effrayant)
Sur son visage quand il l'a dit
Comme s'il avait réellement vu le seigneur des ténèbres
'Il a dit qu'il l'avait vu
Jeter des ordures par la fenêtre arrière
Qu'il avait volé les meubles
De tous les bars
Qui ont fermé dans le quartier
Mais c'est un vieil homme
Probablement dément.
Alors de toute façon
L'autre jour, Ricco et moi
On a décidé d'entrer par effraction.
Pour voir ce qu'était vraiment ce palais sombre

Il y avait un long couloir
Qui menait à un escalier à l'arrière
Et du côté droit
J'ai compté sept portes
