als Papi das Jawort spricht.

Dann sah er in ihr den Engel,
der im Traum am Fenster stand.

in ein Regenbogenland.

und im Engelskleid neben Papi steht.

Jonas was a boy

when the news came:
Jonas' blood was incurable,
his suffering had begun.

Mother was desperate,
when the last hope was gone.
She sat all night long and held his hand,
as his life hung by a thread.
And she asked:
My child, what do you wish for so much?

I would like to scatter flowers,
when you walk to the wedding
and stand in a white gown beside Papa.
I want the two of you to live together
and give each other the yes I do.

I wish for that – oh yes, that would be so fine
and the two of us would never be alone again!
I would like to scatter flowers
on your wedding day,
because I love both of you so much, I love you so much.

The yes I do was long ago decided,
she bought herself the most beautiful dress.
The priest came to the hospital room
and Jonas' eyes grew wide.

He gave her the flowers,
with a smile on his face.
It was the most beautiful day for Jonas,
when his daddy said the yes I do.

Then he saw in her the angel,
who stood at the window in a dream.
He walked with a smile
into a rainbow land.

He wanted to scatter flowers,
when she walked to the wedding
and stood in an angel's dress beside her daddy.

and to walk the path together.

Every year on their wedding day
they bring flowers to Jonas' grave
