Aspettando una nuova vita

Sono le sette, è ora di cominciare.
Prendo la scopa e spazzo di qua e di là.
Corro di sopra, ho i panni da sistemare...
L′orologio, però, più veloce non va!
Afferro un libro o due, dalla mia libreria!
E aggiungo un bel dipinto nella galleria.
Tra la chitarra, i ferri e la gastronomia
Aspetto quel che succederà.
Faccio un bel gioco e dopo la pasticcera
Ed il teatro direi che non fa per me.
Provo con la ceramica e con la cera...
Poi lo sport, qualche schizzo,
Salgo su; che bel pizzo!
Riprendo un libro o due, da quella libreria
E viaggio ancora un po' con la mia fantasia.
E poi mi spazzolo, con forza ed energia,
Ma sono sempre rinchiusa qua!
E allora aspetto, aspetto, aspetto, aspetto
Quel che succederà.
Ma domani c′è quel che amo di più:
Quella scia di luci che mi porta lassù.
Che cosa sia, ancora non so...
So che è nel cuore e che presto la vedrò.

Waiting for new life

It is seven, time to start.
I take the broom and sweep here and there.
I run upstairs, I have clothes to put away...
The clock, however, doesn't go faster!
I grab a book or two from my library!
And I add a nice painting to the gallery.
Between the guitar, the irons and the gastronomy
I wait to see what will happen.
I play a game and then I am a pastry chef
And the theater, I would say that is not for me.
I try pottery and wax...
Then some sports, some sketching,
I go up; what beautiful lace!
I take up a book or two again from that library
And I travel a little further with my imagination.
And then I brush myself, with strength and energy,
But I am still locked up here!
And so I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait
For what will happen.
But tomorrow there is what I love most:
That trail of lights that takes me up there.
What it is, I still don't know...
I know that it is in my heart and that soon I will see it.
