On l'appelait Pitoune
Pis a braillait souvent
Son p'tit bicycle toute brisé
Depuis sa p'tite accident
C'était le beau mois d'décembre
Tout le monde était content
On s'en allait choisir notre arbre de Noël
La pitoune était buckée
A voulait juste pas débarquer
Ou même nous aider à l'décorer
Sa mère lui dit "tu sais, Pitoune
Santa Claus s'en vient ben vite
Tu pourrais p't-être lui demander un bicycle"
Ça pas pris d'temps à s'ramasser
Un crayon pis un bout d'papIer
Pour faire sa lettre de Noël pis la mailer
Cher père Noël, j'aimerais d'avoir un bicycle
Un à deux roues, asteure que j'ai cinq ans
J'ferai la bonne fille pis j'driverai pas wide open

Son bas d'Noël est accroché
L'heure est venue d'aller s'coucher
Un peu hyper, a prépare le goûter
Deux poutines pis des carottes
Dans une assiette toute près d'la porte

Christmas for the Pooch

They used to call her Pooch
And she barked all the time
Her little bike was broken
Since her little accident
It was the beautiful month of December
And everyone was happy
We were going to choose our Christmas tree
Pooch was excited
She didn't want to get out of the car
Or even help us decorate
Her mother said to her, "you know, Pooch
Santa Claus is coming soon
You could maybe ask him for a bicycle"
It didn't take her long to grab
A pencil and a piece of paper
To write her Christmas letter and mail it

Her Christmas stocking is hung up
It's time to go to bed
