Souvent, je ne le nie pas, j′occupe tout l'espace.
Je m′étale confortablement dans ma routine, mes habitudes et même dans ma médiocrité au point d'en oublier que tu es avec moi, présent en moi!
Je dois te confesser que dans ces moments la je ne suis pas très fier, je préfère t'ignorer, faire comme si je ne te connaissais pas et dire comme Pierre à ton propos, je ne connais pas cet homme!
Oui je te l′avoue, il est des moments ou tu me gènes, vraiment, tu me déranges!
Ce que j′appréhende le plus et lorsque je doute de toi, c'est comme si tu étais sourd à mes appels, absent, silencieux!
Je suis tout seul dans ma peau!
Et ce grand vide me donne le vertige.
Je te cherche et je ne te trouve pas.
Je t′appelle et tu ne réponds pas.
Ces heures là sont douloureuses, tu peux le croire.
Et cependant, vois tu, ces moments là, je ne les regrette pas.
Au contraire, une fois passé mon trouble, je suis tellement heureux de te retrouver, je dois constater que tu es toujours présent, fidèle comme toujours, et que c'est moi qui m′étais éloigné.
Qu'il est bon ce moment ou tu m′accueilles, chez moi.
Et les mots que j'avais préparé pour habiller nos retrouvailles, tu n'en veux pas, mon regard te suffit et moi je cherche le tien.
Il y a aussi les jours ou je voudrais te laisser toute la place, c′est alors que je veux me faire tout petit, pour que chez moi, dans ma peau, vraiment, tu sois chez toi!
Je suis joyeux quand tu n′es pas à l'étroit dans une peau étriquée, mesquine, une peau, une peau de chagrin quoi!
Mon Dieu, je te le demande, apprends moi à m′aimer comme toi seul sait m'aimer.
Je suis bien, tu sais, lorsque nous conversons tout les deux, simplement, familièrement, comme de vieux amis, comme deux êtres qui s′aiment et partagent le même toit.
Je ressent si fortement le réconfort que m'apporte ta présence, elle est là, la force de la prière.
Et dire que c′est toi, qui habite avec moi cette vieille peau que j'ai parfois tant de mal à trainer!
Ah si seulement je pouvais, ne serait ce qu'un instant l′oublier, l′accrocher a un clou, tel une vieille guenille!
Mais toi, c'est cette peau là que tu veux habiter, avec moi!
Sais tu que, plus je sens que tu habites en moi, plus je crois devenir un peu toi!
OH! Ne t′inquiètes pas pour ma modestie. j'ai dis un peu, juste un peu.
Je sais que c′est toi qui pousse l'humilité jusqu′à choisir d'agir par moi, et dans ces moment là, tu peux le croire, je suis vraiment heureux parce que je sais alors que tu es bien dans ma peau!

Conversation with God

Often, I won't deny it, I occupy all the space.
I comfortably spread myself out in my routine, my habits, even in my mediocrity, to the point of forgetting that you are with me, present within me!
I must confess that in those moments I am not very proud. I prefer to ignore you, to act as if I don't know you, and say like Peter about you, "I do not know the man!"
Yes, I admit it, there are times when you bother me, truly, you disturb me!
What I fear the most is when I doubt you, it's as if you were deaf to my calls, absent, silent!
I am all alone in my skin!
And this great emptiness makes me dizzy.

I call to you and you do not answer.
Those hours are painful, you can believe me.
And yet, you see, I do not regret those moments.
