You know, and why we do what we do
And that's a really big thing for me as of late
Like, not doin' work to feel validated

That's a big thing for me at the moment
Like, I don't wanna like, do anything so people can go
"Oh, I like that, oh, that's cool"
It's more about "Oh, shit, okay, alright, I'ma sit with that"
Hahaha, um, that to me is more interesting
Um, and this is not for your album
This is just me tellin' you about the two things I've just said
And of course you're gonna be like
"Oh, there's some cool stuff in this too"
But, yeah, gotta try not to do it for applause, man

Mmm-mmm, couldn't do it for applause
Then you gotta catch the tomatoes they throw at you too

Okay, das sind meine beiden Gedanken
Sie fühlen sich ziemlich ehrlich an, was meinen jetzigen Standpunkt angeht, hahaha
Spiegel vorhalten und einfach Dinge durcharbeiten
Wenn du etwas kürzen wolltest, sag Bescheid
Wenn du es bearbeiten und damit herumspielen willst, cool
Aber ich denke, das ist wirklich, wo ich gerade stehe
Im Sinne von, weißt du, der Reise des Künstlers
Weißt du, und warum wir tun, was wir tun
Und das ist in letzter Zeit eine wirklich große Sache für mich
So wie, keine Arbeit machen, um sich bestätigt zu fühlen

Das ist im Moment eine große Sache für mich
So wie, ich will nicht, ähm, irgendwas machen, damit Leute sagen können
"Oh, das gefällt mir, oh, das ist cool"
Es geht mehr um "Oh, Scheiße, okay, alles klar, damit setze ich mich auseinander"
Hahaha, ähm, das ist für mich interessanter
Ähm, und das ist nicht für dein Album
Das bin nur ich, der dir von den beiden Dingen erzählt, die ich gerade gesagt habe
Und natürlich wirst du sagen
"Oh, hier ist auch cooles Zeug drin"
Aber, ja, man muss versuchen, es nicht für den Applaus zu tun, Mann

Mmm-mmm, könnte es nicht für den Applaus tun
Dann musst du auch die Tomaten fangen, die sie nach dir werfen
