The Immense Gift of God

On the cruel cross I saw the savior Jesus
Who gave himself up for my sin
And in that instant I could receive his light
That immense gift of God

I wandered in error
Lost in darkness, unaware
That there was life for me
But today with my Jesus
I know I will dwell
In the heavenly country of God

When I came to the cross weary with suffering
I saw the arms of the Lord open wide
And I could understand his immense love and see
