Tengo un tema que acabar

Si no aparece nunca
O entiendo que no di con la palabra justa
Y cuando al fin la encuentro llega aquel mar de dudas
Si cuando me decido tú me detienes siempre
Me aprietas justo aquí y dices:
No, mi leal traidor, inspiración
Cuando apareces menos hoy
Y soy yo

Te quedarás dormida
Menuda novedad
Es peor mi geniocidio
Cuando no te dejo hablar
En la autopista de la vida
Si te saltas la salida hay que esperar

Puede
Que no haya aprendido a aceptar
Que escuadrones de moral judeocristiana
Con su culpabilidad
Nos seguirán por tierra, por el aire
Y sobre todo por amar

Puede
Que esté demorando la acción
A los doce tuve un sueño en que ganaba
Pero el sueño me venció
Desde entonces mis derrotas son las huellas del carnet
De ese tal yo

Ahora escúchame
Ya he encontrado la palabra justa
Mejor prepárate
Tiene algo que a todos asusta
Sí, la voy a soltar
La quiero soltar

Pronunciaré 'esperanza'
La gritaré por dentro si es lo que hace falta
La escribiré mil veces, me alejaré de espaldas
Quizás de repetirla algo me quede
No puedo permitir tu negación
Mi leal traidora inspiración
De intermitente aparición
Como un ángel hallado en un ascensor
Qué bien funcionas como recuerdo

Acojo en mi hogar
Palabras que he encontrado abandonadas en mi palabrera
Examino cada jaula y allí
Ladrando vocales y consonantes
Encuentro sucios verbos
Que lloran después de ser abandonados
Por un sujeto que un día fue su amo
Y de tan creído que era
Prescindió del predicado

Esta misma semana
Han encontrado a un par de adjetivos transtornados
A tres adverbios muertos de frío
Y a otros tantos de la raza pronombre
Que sueñan en sus jaulas
Con ser la sombra de un niño

Señalo entonces
A las palabras que llevan más días abandonadas
Y me las llevo a casa
Las vacuno de la rabia y las peino a mi manera
Como si fueran hijas únicas
Porque en verdad todas son únicas

Acto seguido
Y antes de integrarlas en un parbulario de relatos o canciones
Les doy un beso de tinta
Y les digo que si quieres ganarte el respeto
Nunca hay que olvidarse los acentos en el patio

A veces les pongo a mis palabras
Diéresis de colores imitando diademas
Y yo sólo observo como juegan en el patio de un poema

Casi siempre te abandonan demasiado pronto
Y las escuchas en bocas ajenas
Y te alegras, y te enojas contigo mismo
Como con todo lo que amamos con cierto egoísmo

Y uno se queda en casa
Inerte y algo vacío
Acariciando aquel vocablo mudo llamado silencio
Siempre fiel, siempre contigo

Pero todo es ley de vida
Como un día me dijo el poeta Halley:
"Si las palabras se atraen
Que se unan entre ellas.
Y a brillar
Que son dos sílabas"

You'll catch me in flight

Words from a muse
With low maternal instinct

Maybe I finally know myself well
If my quirks were gray dots
Each flaw I created
By following them with a pencil in the end
You would see my face on the paper

That's why
I'm here again
Searching in my warehouse for that word
Consul of my shyness
Hopefully I'll find the way
I better
I have a song to finish

If it never appears
Or I understand that I didn't find the right word
And when I finally find it, that sea of doubts arrives
If when I decide you always stop me
You squeeze me right here and say:
No, my loyal traitor, inspiration
When you appear the least today
And it's me

You'll fall asleep
What a novelty
My genocide is worse
When I don't let you speak
On the highway of life
If you miss the exit you have to wait

Maybe
I haven't learned to accept
That squadrons of Judeo-Christian morality
With their guilt
Will follow us by land, by air
And above all for loving

I'm delaying the action
At twelve I had a dream where I won
But the dream defeated me
Since then my defeats are the footprints on the card

I welcome into my home
Words that I have found abandoned in my word cage
I examine each cage and there
Barking vowels and consonants
I find dirty verbs
That cry after being abandoned
By a subject who was once their master
And so arrogant he was
He dispensed with the predicate

This very week
They have found a couple of deranged adjectives
Three adverbs dead from the cold
And many others of the pronoun race
Who dream in their cages
Of being a child's shadow

I point then
To the words that have been abandoned for the most days
And I take them home
I vaccinate them against rabies and comb them my way
As if they were only daughters
Because in truth they are all unique

Immediately afterwards
And before integrating them into a nursery of stories or songs
I give them a kiss of ink
And I tell them that if you want to earn respect
Never forget the accents in the playground

Sometimes I put on my words
Colorful umlauts imitating tiaras
And I just watch them play in the courtyard of a poem

They almost always leave you too soon
And you hear them in other people's mouths
And you rejoice, and you get angry with yourself
As with everything we love with a certain selfishness

And one stays home
Inert and somewhat empty
Caressing that mute word called silence
Always faithful, always with you

But everything is the law of life
As the poet Halley once told me:
"If words attract each other
Let them join together.
And shine
They are two syllables"
