Für eine Weile lief es gut, wir hatten alles am Start
Die neue Platte ließ nicht lang auf sich warten
Und dann schrieb ich einfach nur noch neue Songs, wollte nur nach vorn
Denn ich hatte eh schon zu viel Zeit verlor'n, und dann

Es fühlte sich nicht mehr richtig an, ich hab' an mir gezweifelt
Mir fehlte einfach meine ehrliche Seite
Musik war immer mein Ventil für alle hässlichen Zeiten
Zu persönlich, doch besser als oberflächliche Zeil'n
Und nicht Radio-kompatibel, ich weiß, dass sie mich nicht feiern
Zu einfach und ohne wirkliche Story, zu wenig Eier

I waited so long for something to happen

After that I kept hustling with Nils alone

For a while things were going well, we had everything we needed
The new record wasn't long in coming
And then I just kept writing new songs, just wanted to move forward
Because I had already wasted too much time, and then
I wanted to evolve,
A different sound and make everything new
I took over and kept wearing my blinders

The promo phase was hell, didn't feel like doing interviews

It didn't feel right anymore, I doubted myself
I was just missing my honest side
Music has always been my outlet for all the ugly times
