Certain de mes proches avaient la chemise ensanglantée

Moi j'su parti depuis onze mois déjà

I've been gone for eleven months already
If you saw how hot it is here, it's unbelievable
I'm a mechanic at the Baghdad airport
I turned down the infantry, despite the $20,000 bonus
And now I make 500 a week, housed, fed, chill
It's not perfect, I admit, but I appreciate my work
