Numa cidade, chamada Jericó,
Anunciaram que Jesus ia passar.
Havia um homem humilhado, desprezado e solitário,
Pois não tinha como ver
A glória de Deus.
Mas quando ouviu
Que por ali ia passar
Um homem que tudo podia resolver,
Então em seu coração
Despertou a esperança.
Naquele instante Bartimeu clamou assim:

Jesus filho de Davi
Tenha compaixão de mim,
Jesus filho de Davi
Atende o meu clamor.

Naquele instante
A multidão vendo-o clamar,
Diziam eles:
Ele não pode te ouvir.
Não podes alcançar o Mestre,
Não adianta insistir,
Pois está longe
Ele não, não vai te ouvir.
Mas ele não se importou com a multidão,
Pois a bênção queria ele receber.
Então Jesus mandou chamar
Esse homem que gritava,
Pois o clamor ao Mestre chegou
Dizendo assim:

Jesus filho de Davi...

Jesus atendendo a ele disse:
"Vai filho, a tua fé te curou,
A tua fé te salvou".

In a city, called Jericho,
They announced that Jesus would pass through.
There was a man, humiliated, despised, and alone,
For he had no way to see
The glory of God.
But when he heard

A man who could solve everything,

Hope awoke.
In that instant, Bartimaeus cried out like this:

Jesus, son of David
Have mercy on me,

Hear my plea.

For He is far
He will not, will not hear you.
But he didn't care about the crowd,
For he wanted to receive the blessing.
Then Jesus sent for
This man who was shouting,
For the cry reached the Master
Saying like this:

Jesus, son of David...

Jesus, attending to him, said:
"Go, my child, your faith has healed you,
Your faith has saved you".
