Abraham and Isaac

One day from Beersheba he went
Setting out for Moriah
An old man leading a boy
Contemplating in silence

No one knew the mystery
They only followed in his steps
But they knew that the old man
Was a friend of God

The day then fell
They stopped to rest
And at dawn the next day
They went on their way

Old Abraham without fear
Knowing that God is great
He was following God's lead
To prove his faith

Three days passed and then
They managed to arrive
At a certain place where his faith
He would prove

The servants stayed and so
Taking the boy he went
Leaving the certainty that the two
Would return later

Isaac walked ahead
Handsome even in his walk
Who knows, perhaps Abraham at that moment
Started to cry

Isaac asks, my father
Where is the lamb that will be sacrificed?
My son, the lamb for you
God will provide
