Antes les llamaban nazarenos, despues cristianos
Hoy no saben ya como llamar a cada grupo,
Hay tantos...
Antes al mirarles se decian: "¡Ved como se aman!",
Hoy al contemplarlos se repiten;
¡"Ved como se separan"!.
¿Quién sabrá quien de ellos tienen la verdad?

Como ha conseguido el enemigo robarnos el terreno,
Hemos comenzado hacer murallas
Olvidando lo primero.
Que no hay cristianismo verdadero
Detrás de una careta,
Si no reflejamos a Jesús perdemos nuestra meta.
Que el que sirve a los demás es el mayor,
Que el sermón del monte aún esta en vigor,
Que aún existe el buen ejemplo y la humildad de corazón
Y que no hay vida ni hay iglesia si no hay perdón.

Ojalá el maestro pueda decir como dijera hace años:
"No lloréis sólo duerme no esta muerta".
¿ Qué te pasa iglesia amada, que no reaccionas,
Sólo a veces te emocionas, y no acabas de cambiar?.

Antes tenian todo en común y oraban en la noche.
Hoy compiten por saber quién tiene
Mejor casa y mejor coche.
Antes morian abrazados en la arena del circo romano,
Hoy discuten si al orar hay que alzar o no las manos.

Unos creen en profecias y otros no,
Unos predican la fé y otros el amor,
Unos hablan lenguas y otros presumen de virtud
Y el mundo muere, muere, muere, sin ver la luz.

Ojalá el maestro pueda decir como dijera hace años:
"No lloréis sólo duerme no esta muerta".
¿Qué te pasa iglesia amada, que no reaccionas,
Sólo a veces te emocionas, y no acabas de cambiar?

Jesús se levantó de la muerte,
¿Y acaso a ti no habrá quién te despierte?

They used to call them Nazarenes, then Christians
Today they don't know how to call each group,
There are so many...
Before, when looking at them, they would say: "See how they love one another!"
Today, when contemplating them, they repeat themselves;
""See how they separate themselves!".
Who knows which of them has the truth?

How has the enemy managed to steal our ground,
We have started to build walls
Forgetting the first thing.
That there is no true Christianity
Behind a mask,
If we don't reflect Jesus we lose our goal.
That he who serves others is the greatest,
That the sermon on the mount is still in force,
That good example and humility of heart still exist
And that there is no life or church without forgiveness.

I hope the teacher can say as he said years ago:
"Don't cry, she's only sleeping, she's not dead."
What's wrong with you, my beloved church, that you don't react,
Only sometimes you get excited, and you don't end up changing?.

Before they had everything in common and prayed at night.
Today they compete to see who has
A better house and a better car.
Before they died embracing each other in the arena of the Roman circus,
Today they argue whether to raise their hands or not when praying.

Some believe in prophecies and others don't,
Some preach faith and others love,
Some speak tongues and others boast of virtue
And the world dies, dies, dies, without seeing the light.

I hope the teacher can say as he said years ago:

What's wrong with you, my beloved church, that you don't react,

Jesus rose from death,
