Θέλω να πιω όλο το Βόσπορο
αλλάζουνε εντός μου τα σύνορα του κόσμου

Την βρήκα στις στροφές των ποιημάτων
με τις βαριές χανούμισσες να ζει
και ρίχνω μες στο στόμα των αρμάτων
την κούφια μου αλήθεια τη μισή

Θέλω να πιω όλο το Βόσπορο
αλλάζουνε εντός μου τα σύνορα του κόσμου

Bosphorus

The spirits return at night
little lights of unfulfilled souls
and if you see up there on the battlements
you will see forms looking at you

And then a lament takes you
and turns you around the streets
The City, an old lover
that you meet in someone else's arms

I want to drink the whole Bosphorus
the frontiers of the world are changing within me

I found her in the turns of poems
living with heavy-bodied ladies
and I hurl my hollow truth half-true
into the mouths of tanks
