Shiva Pooja

A seat fashioned from jewels, a bath with cool waters, and divine garments,
Adorned with various gems, fragrant sandalwood paste marking the joy of deer musk.
Flowers crafted from jasmine, champaka, and bilva leaves, incense and light offered as well,
O Lord of compassion, Pashupati, accept this heartfelt offering, my love.
In a vessel made of gold and nine gems, I offer you ghee, milk, and rice,
Five kinds of food, yogurt and milk, plantains, and a refreshing drink.
A myriad of vegetables, delightful water, bright with camphor pieces,
Betel leaf, lovingly prepared by me, my Lord, accept this with my devotion.
A pair of umbrellas and whisks, a fan and a clear mirror,
The sounds of the veena, drums, and horns, along with song and dance.
Prostrations, salutations, and various praises, all of these, my love,
Are offered to you with heartfelt intention, O Lord, accept this worship.
You are the Self, my beloved, Parvati is the intellect, the life breaths are companions, the body is the home,
Worship is your engagement, the arrangement of enjoyments, sleep is the state of samadhi,
Walking is the circumambulation at your feet, all words are hymns of praise.
Whatever action I perform, all of it, O Shambhu, is your adoration.
Whether done by hand or foot, by voice or body,
Whether by ear or eye, or even by mind, any transgression,
Whether prescribed or not, forgive it all, my love.
Victory, victory, O ocean of compassion, Shri Mahadeva Shambho.
