一、作文：
信
孔子說：「人而無信，不知其可也，大車無輗，小車無軏，
其何以行之哉？」
這就是說，做一個人，如果沒有信用，就像大車沒有轅，小車沒有軸一樣，
自然不能行路。
可見「信」在我國，是一項極為重要的美德。
自古以來，上自天子，下致庶民，小如待人接物，大至對民行政，
沒有不把「信」字看做至德要道。
今日是法治時代，一般人不免偏重法律，以為法律足以保障一切。
其實信用是人格的基石，口心相同，言行一致，乃是社會萬事平昀之根本。
而法律只可以做事後裁判的工具，屬於救濟的性質，對於整個社會道德架構的完整，並不能提供真正的保障。
孔子曾說：「言不忠信，行不篤敬，雖州里行乎哉？」足見信用之道，是放諸四海而皆準的一切道德標準。
個人的信用，其實就是一種誠實人格的表現。
內不自誣，外不自欺，我能以信待人，人必以信待我，人格由是而健全。
否則言不由衷，行不篤實，妄自誇大，輕加期許，處處表現虛偽，事事逃責任，
久而久之，原形暴露，不揭自穿，人格崩潰。
由社會而言，信是立群之準則，社會和諧之原動力。
因為個人心地光明，言行仰而無愧，則四海之內皆兄弟，大家相處以誠，相諄以信，彼此合作互助，同舟共濟。
否則爾虞我詐，爭訟攘利，互相構陷，人人隨時均在防邪惡，社會自然混亂。
由國家而言，信用施之於政策，即所謂公信力。
公信力即依法辦事，貫徹政令。
一有失忽，就禍患無窮。
因為公信力是公權力的基礎，如果政府昭守信用，人民才能有所適從，否則信用危機一旦發生，要政府與人民推心置腹，恐怕緣木求魚。
歷史上由信而立的例子，不勝枚舉，如晉文公謹守十日之約，攻原得衛。
諸葛亮不肯用輪休的士兵作戰，反使士氣振奮。
至於商鞅徙木立信的故事，更是以說明公權力必須建立在公信之治理上。
至於在日常生活中如何實踐？
除了以「言行如一」、「是非分明」外，並無太具體的方法。
因為信的涵蓋面太廣。
我們僅能從日常行為上，作一簡略說明。
如與人約會，不可爽約。
允人之事，必須盡力。
對於應盡之義務，不可迴避取巧。
不推卸責任，勇於任事，這些都是信的表現。
只要我們細心體會，敦品自勵，當可使自己的行為，納入信義。------

I. Composition:
Trust
Confucius said, "A man without trust is not known, a large cart without a steering pole, a small cart without an axle,
how can it move?"
This means that to be a human being, if one has no trust, it is like a large cart without a steering pole, a small cart without an axle,
naturally unable to travel.
It can be seen that "trust" in China is an extremely important virtue.
Since ancient times, from the emperor to the common people, whether it is as small as treating others, or as large as governing the people,
there is no one who does not regard "trust" as a virtue and a way.
Today is the era of the rule of law, and it is inevitable that many people will favor the law, thinking that the law is enough to guarantee everything.
In fact, trust is the cornerstone of character, keeping one's words and actions consistent, which is the root of the smoothness of all things in society.
And the law can only be used as a tool for ex post facto judgment, which is in the nature of a remedy and cannot provide real guarantee for the integrity of the entire moral framework of society.
Confucius once said, "If words are not loyal and trustworthy, and actions are not sincere and respectful, can one really walk in the world?" This shows that, the way of trust is a universal moral standard that applies to everyone.
Personal trust is actually a manifestation of a sincere personality.
Not deceiving oneself inwardly, not deceiving others outwardly, I can treat others with trust, and others will treat me with trust, and my personality will become sound because of this.
Otherwise, if one's words do not match one's heart, one's actions are not sincere, one makes exaggerated claims, makes light promises, behaves hypocritically everywhere, and evades responsibility in everything,
over time, one's true colors will be revealed, one's pretense will be exposed, and one's personality will collapse.
From the perspective of society, trust is the criterion for establishing a group, and the driving force for social harmony.
Because when individuals are open-minded and aboveboard, they can feel at ease, then everyone in the world is a brother, everyone gets along with sincerity, and trusts each other, and everyone cooperates and helps each other, and works together.
Otherwise, if everyone is suspicious of each other, fights and robs for profit, and frames each other, everyone is always on guard against evil, and society will naturally be in chaos.
From the perspective of the state, trust is applied to policy, which is the so-called credibility.
Credibility means acting according to the law and implementing government orders.
If there is any negligence, it will lead to endless troubles.
Because credibility is the foundation of public authority. If the government adheres to its credibility, the people can follow suit. Otherwise, once a credibility crisis occurs, it will be impossible to expect the government and the people to trust each other.
In history, there are countless examples of establishing trust, such as Duke Wen of Jin strictly abiding by the ten-day agreement, and attacking Yuan to obtain Wei.
Zhuge Liang refused to use rotating soldiers in battle, which instead boosted morale.
As for the story of Shang Yang's moving trees to establish trust, it further illustrates that public authority must be built on the foundation of public trust.
As for how to practice it in daily life?
In addition to "being consistent in words and actions" and "distinguishing right from wrong", there is no more specific method.
Because the scope of trust is too broad.
We can only make a brief explanation from our daily behavior.
For example, when making an appointment with someone, do not break the promise.
When you promise something to someone, you must do your best.
For obligations that should be fulfilled, do not evade or play tricks.
Do not shirk responsibility, and be brave to take on the task, these are all manifestations of trust.
As long as we carefully experience, and encourage ourselves to be virtuous and self-reliant, we can incorporate our behavior into trust.------
