princesses, they say.
All of them teamed up to

the pathetic thing, hiding herself away
to escape the fate she faced.
In the narrow confines of her world, she knew
only what she was and nothing more.
Weak 'monsters' like to feed
on the gossip that others bleed,
fantasizing about being the main character.
Truthfully, she yearned for that life.
The most cruel and unbearable
days of her childhood, bare and raw.
All of them teamed up to
murder her heart and drive her away.
The so-called 'friends' who stayed close
had the same hair, makeup, and taste in pop songs.
No matter how much she tried to fit in,
she couldn't be sure if they even liked her.
They would just drift away.
Those 'monsters' of the past
have now forgotten and moved on,
repeating the cycle, searching for their next victim.
They fear being hated,
and can't stand to be alone.
Their dull days are dominated by fear.
All of them teamed up to
shatter her life and drive her away,
but I have no desire
to return to those days.
Even now, the thought
of fitting into a group fills me with dread.
I just wanted to be free
so I threw off my uniform
and ran away, until I
finally found my way here.
