Al-Lail

(بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَىٰ
وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا تَجَلَّىٰ
وَمَا خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ
إِنَّ سَعْيَكُمْ لَشَتَّىٰ
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ
وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ
وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ
إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ
وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ
فَأَنْذَرْتُكُمْ نَارًا تَلَظَّىٰ
لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى
الَّذِي كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الْأَتْقَى
الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
وَمَا لِأَحَدٍ عِنْدَهُ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تُجْزَىٰ
إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ رَبِّهِ الْأَعْلَىٰ
وَلَسَوْفَ يَرْضَىٰ)

The Night

(In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the night as it envelops
And the day as it appears
And by the creation of the male and female
Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
So as for he who gives and fears Allah
And believes in the best
We will ease for him the path of ease
But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
And denies the best
We will ease for him the path of hardship. And his wealth will not avail him when he falls
Indeed, upon Us is guidance
And indeed, to Us belong the end and the beginning.
So I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely,
None will burn in it except the most wretched,
He who denies and turns away,
But the most righteous will be kept away from it,
He who gives away his wealth that he may purify himself
And none has any favor over him that he should be rewarded for it
Except seeking the countenance of his Lord, the Most High,
And he will be pleased)
