Al-Muddaththir

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ
قُمْ فَأَنْذِرْ
وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ
وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ
وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرْ
وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُ
وَلِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرْ
فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِ
فَذَٰلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوْمٌ عَسِيرٌ
عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرٍ
ذَرْنِي وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًا
وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَمْدُودًا
وَبَنِينَ شُهُودًا
وَمَهَّدْتُ لَهُ تَمْهِيدًا
ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَ
كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ لِآيَاتِنَا عَنِيدًا
سَأُرْهِقُهُ صَعُودًا
إِنَّهُ فَكَّرَ وَقَدَّرَ
فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
ثُمَّ قُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَ
ثُمَّ نَظَرَ
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ
فَقَالَ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُ
إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِ
سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِ
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً ۙ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيمَانًا ۙ وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ ۙ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَىٰ لِلْبَشَرِ
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَ
وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَ
إِنَّهَا لَإِحْدَى الْكُبَرِ
نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ
لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ يَتَأَخَّرَ
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهِينَةٌ
إِلَّا أَصْحَابَ الْيَمِينِ
فِي جَنَّاتٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ
عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ
قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ
وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ
حَتَّىٰ أَتَانَا الْيَقِينُ
فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعِينَ
فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ
كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُسْتَنْفِرَةٌ
فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍ
بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْتَىٰ صُحُفًا مُنَشَّرَةً
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ لَا يَخَافُونَ الْآخِرَةَ
كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ
فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ
وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَىٰ وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ

Al-Muddaththir

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
O you who are enwrapped!
Arise and warn,
And glorify your Lord,
And purify your garments,
And shun abomination,
And do not be miserly, seeking more wealth,
And be patient for the sake of your Lord.
So when the trumpet is blown,
That will be a difficult Day,
Not easy for the disbelievers.
Leave Me to him whom I created alone,
And to whom I granted abundant wealth,
And children witnessing everything,
And made smooth for him the way to everything,
Yet he desires that I should give him more.
No! Indeed, he has been stubborn towards Our verses.
I will impose upon him a difficult ascent.
Indeed, he thought and he plotted.
So death to him, how he plotted!
Then death to him, how he plotted!
Then he looked,
Then he frowned and pouted.
Then he turned away and was arrogant.
And he said, "This is nothing but magic brought down."
This is nothing but the word of a human being.".
I will burn him in the Fire.
And what will explain to you what the Fire is?
It spares nothing and leaves nothing behind,
Darkening and scorching the skin.
Over it are Nineteen (angels).
And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt. And those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus Allah leaves astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And it is not but a reminder to mankind.
No! By the Moon,
And by the night when it departs,
And by the dawn when it shines,
Indeed, it is one of the greatest,
A warning to mankind,
For anyone among you who wishes to progress or fall behind.
Every soul is pledged for what it has earned,
Except the companions of the Right.
In Gardens, they will ask one another
About the criminals,
What put you into Hellfire?
They will say, "We were not of those who prayed,
And we did not feed the poor,
And we used to engage in idle talk with those who indulged in it,
And we used to deny the Day of Recompense,
Until there came to us the certainty.".
So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them.
So what is the matter with them that they are from the reminder turning away,
As if they were wild donkeys,
Fleeing from a lion?
Rather, every man among them desires to be given pages spread out.
No! Indeed, they do not fear the Hereafter.
No! Indeed, it is a reminder.
So whoever wills may remember it.
But they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is the Owner of righteousness and the Owner of forgiveness.
