Surat Al-Kahf, Chapter 18, Verse 32 - 50
۞وَٱضۡرِبۡ
لَهُم
مَّثَلٗا
رَّجُلَيۡنِ
جَعَلۡنَا
لِأَحَدِهِمَا
جَنَّتَيۡنِ
مِنۡ
أَعۡنَٰبٖ
And
give
them,
for
example,
two
men
۞one
of
whom
we
made
two
paradises
from
Grapes
وَحَفَفۡنَٰهُمَا
بِنَخۡلٖ
وَجَعَلۡنَا
بَيۡنَهُمَا
زَرۡعٗا
(32)
And
our
understanding
of
benkhal
and
Jalna
bennahima
Zarraa
(32)
كِلۡتَا
ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ
ءَاتَتۡ
أُكُلَهَا
وَلَمۡ
تَظۡلِم
مِّنۡهُ
شَيۡٔٗاۚ
وَفَجَّرۡنَا
خِلَٰلَهُمَا
نَهَرٗا
(33)
Both
commissions
paid
off
and
did
not
complain
about
Shea
and
blew
us
up
The
Lord
of
the
river
(33)
وَكَانَ
لَهُۥ
ثَمَرٞ
فَقَالَ
لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ
وَهُوَ
يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ
أَنَا۠
أَكۡثَرُ
مِنكَ
مَالٗا
وَأَعَزُّ
نَفَرٗا
(34)
And
he
hadمر
he
bore
fruit
and
said
to
his
companions
يحا
and
he
was
talking
to
himۥ
I
am
more
than
you
Money
and
dearest
aversion
(34)
وَدَخَلَ
جَنَّتَهُۥ
وَهُوَ
ظَالِمٞ
لِّنَفۡسِهِۦ
قَالَ
مَآ
أَظُنُّ
أَن
تَبِيدَ
هَٰذِهِۦٓ
أَبَدٗا
(35)
And
he
entered
his
Paradise
ظ
and
he
is
unjust
to
himselfۦ
he
said
what
I
think
would
be
annihilated
This
isۦ
never
(35)
وَمَآ
أَظُنُّ
ٱلسَّاعَةَ
قَآئِمَةٗ
وَلَئِن
رُّدِدتُّ
إِلَىٰ
رَبِّي
لَأَجِدَنَّ
خَيۡرٗا
مِّنۡهَا
مُنقَلَبٗا
(36)
And
I
think
the
clock
is
ticking,
and
if
I
turned
back
to
my
lord,
I
would
find
Well,
I'm
going
to
the
36th.
قَالَ
لَهُۥ
صَاحِبُهُۥ
وَهُوَ
يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ
أَكَفَرۡتَ
بِٱلَّذِي
خَلَقَكَ
مِن
تُرَابٖ
He
said
to
himۥ
his
companion
يحا
and
he
was
talking
to
himفرت
you
disbelieved
the
one
who
created
you
from
dust
ثُمَّ
مِن
نُّطۡفَةٖ
ثُمَّ
سَوَّىٰكَ
رَجُلٗا
(37)
Then
from
a
sperm
and
then
from
a
man
(37)
لَّٰكِنَّا۠
هُوَ
ٱللَّهُ
رَبِّي
وَلَآ
أُشۡرِكُ
بِرَبِّيٓ
أَحَدٗا
(38)
But
God
is
my
Lord,
and
I
will
not
associate
anyone
with
my
Lord
(38)
وَلَوۡلَآ
إِذۡ
دَخَلۡتَ
جَنَّتَكَ
قُلۡتَ
مَا
شَآءَ
ٱللَّهُ
لَا
قُوَّةَ
إِلَّا
بِٱللَّهِۚ
If
I
had
not
entered
your
paradise,
I
would
have
said
what
God
wills,
there
is
no
power
but
By
God
إِن
تَرَنِ
أَنَا۠
أَقَلَّ
مِنكَ
مَالٗا
وَوَلَدٗا
(39)
If
you
ring,
I'm
less
money
and
a
son
than
you
(39)
فَعَسَىٰ
رَبِّيٓ
أَن
يُؤۡتِيَنِ
خَيۡرٗا
مِّن
جَنَّتِكَ
وَيُرۡسِلَ
عَلَيۡهَا
حُسۡبَانٗا
مِّنَ
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
May
the
Lord
bring
good
from
your
paradise
and
send
it
according
to
From
the
heavens
فَتُصۡبِحَ
صَعِيدٗا
زَلَقًا
(40)
It
becomes
a
slippery
slope
(40)
أَوۡ
يُصۡبِحَ
مَآؤُهَا
غَوۡرٗا
فَلَن
تَسۡتَطِيعَ
لَهُۥ
طَلَبٗا
(41)
Or
her
shelter
becomes
gory,
she
will
not
be
able
to
him
طلبا
request
(41)
وَأُحِيطَ
بِثَمَرِهِۦ
فَأَصۡبَحَ
يُقَلِّبُ
كَفَّيۡهِ
عَلَىٰ
مَآ
أَنفَقَ
فِيهَا
And
he
surrounded
his
fruitۦ
and
he
turned
his
palms
over
what
he
had
spent
in
it
وَهِيَ
خَاوِيَةٌ
عَلَىٰ
عُرُوشِهَا
وَيَقُولُ
يَٰلَيۡتَنِي
لَمۡ
أُشۡرِكۡ
بِرَبِّيٓ
أَحَدٗا
(42)
She
is
empty
on
her
Thrones
and
he
says
to
me,
' I
didn't
involve
my
God.'
Someone
(42)
وَلَمۡ
تَكُن
لَّهُۥ
فِئَةٞ
يَنصُرُونَهُۥ
مِن
دُونِ
ٱللَّهِ
وَمَا
كَانَ
مُنتَصِرًا
(43)
And
there
was
no
class
for
himۥ
his
supportersص
without
God
and
he
would
not
have
been
victorious
(43)
هُنَالِكَ
ٱلۡوَلَٰيَةُ
لِلَّهِ
ٱلۡحَقِّۚ
هُوَ
خَيۡرٞ
ثَوَابٗا
وَخَيۡرٌ
عُقۡبٗا
(44)
There
is
a
priority
for
God,
the
truth
is
the
best
reward
and
the
best
punishment
(44)
وَٱضۡرِبۡ
لَهُم
مَّثَلَ
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَا
كَمَآءٍ
أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ
مِنَ
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
And
strike
them
like
worldly
life,
like
a
shelter
that
you
have
brought
down
from
the
heavens
فَٱخۡتَلَطَ
بِهِۦ
نَبَاتُ
ٱلۡأَرۡضِ
فَأَصۡبَحَ
هَشِيمٗا
تَذۡرُوهُ
ٱلرِّيَٰحُۗ
And
he
mingled
with
Itۦ
the
vegetation
of
the
earth
became
wild,
withered
by
the
wind
وَكَانَ
ٱللَّهُ
عَلَىٰ
كُلِّ
شَيۡءٖ
مُّقۡتَدِرًا
(45)
God
was
able
to
do
everything
(45)
ٱلۡمَالُ
وَٱلۡبَنُونَ
زِينَةُ
ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ
ٱلدُّنۡيَاۖ
Money
and
children
are
the
adornments
of
worldly
life
وَٱلۡبَٰقِيَٰتُ
ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتُ
خَيۡرٌ
عِندَ
رَبِّكَ
ثَوَابٗا
وَخَيۡرٌ
أَمَلٗا
(46)
And
the
good
things
that
have
been
done
have
remained
with
your
Lord
as
a
reward
and
a
Good
Hope
(46)
وَيَوۡمَ
نُسَيِّرُ
ٱلۡجِبَالَ
وَتَرَى
ٱلۡأَرۡضَ
بَارِزَةٗ
وَحَشَرۡنَٰهُمۡ
فَلَمۡ
نُغَادِرۡ
مِنۡهُمۡ
أَحَدٗا
(47)
And
one
day
we
walk
through
the
mountains,
and
the
earth
stands
out,
and
we
crammed
them
into
a
movie
We
leave
someone
from
them
(47)
وَعُرِضُواْ
عَلَىٰ
رَبِّكَ
صَفّٗا
لَّقَدۡ
جِئۡتُمُونَا
كَمَا
خَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ
أَوَّلَ
مَرَّةِۢۚ
And
they
offered
your
Lord
a
row,
you
have
come
to
us
as
we
created
you
first
Once
بَلۡ
زَعَمۡتُمۡ
أَلَّن
نَّجۡعَلَ
لَكُم
مَّوۡعِدٗا
(48)
You
claimed
we
wouldn't
make
you
a
date
(48)
وَوُضِعَ
ٱلۡكِتَٰبُ
فَتَرَى
ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
مُشۡفِقِينَ
مِمَّا
فِيهِ
وَيَقُولُونَ
يَٰوَيۡلَتَنَا
And
he
put
down
the
books,
and
you
see
the
criminals
pitied
by
what
is
in
them,
and
they
say
Yoeltna
مَالِ
هَٰذَا
ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ
لَا
يُغَادِرُ
صَغِيرَةٗ
وَلَا
كَبِيرَةً
إِلَّآ
أَحۡصَىٰهَاۚ
The
money
of
these
books
leaves
neither
small
nor
large,
only
count
them
وَوَجَدُواْ
مَا
عَمِلُواْ
حَاضِرٗاۗ
وَلَا
يَظۡلِمُ
رَبُّكَ
أَحَدٗا
(49)
They
have
found
what
they
have
done
in
the
present,
and
your
Lord
will
not
oppress
anyone
(49)
وَإِذۡ
قُلۡنَا
لِلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ
ٱسۡجُدُواْ
لِأٓدَمَ
فَسَجَدُوٓاْ
إِلَّآ
إِبۡلِيسَ
كَانَ
مِنَ
ٱلۡجِنِّ
فَفَسَقَ
عَنۡ
أَمۡرِ
رَبِّهِۦٓۗ
When
we
said
to
the
Queen,
'worship
Adam,'
they
worshiped
Satan
It
was
from
heaven
that
he
sinned
about
the
command
of
his
lordۦ
أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ
وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ
أَوۡلِيَآءَ
مِن
دُونِي
وَهُمۡ
لَكُمۡ
عَدُوُّۢۚ
بِئۡسَ
لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
بَدَلٗا
(50)
You
have
made
himۥ
and
his
descendants
أولي
Guardians
without
me
and
they
are
your
enemy
Good
for
the
oppressed
instead
