نرگس اگر چشم داشت هیچ ندید او تو را
هر طرفی صف زده مردم و دیو و دده
لیک در این می کده پای ندارند پا
از کرمت من به ناز می نگرم در بقا
کی بفریبد شها دولت فانی مرا
بیست هزار آرزو بود مرا پیش از این
در هوس خود نماند هیچ امانی مرا
ای که به هنگام درد راحت جانی مرا
وی که به تلخی فقر گنج روانی مرا
سجده کنم من ز جان روی نهم من به خاک
گویم از این ها همه عشق فلانی مرا

هر نفس آواز عشق می رسد از چپ و راست
ما به فلک می رویم عزم تماشا که راست
ما به فلک بوده ایم یار ملک بوده ایم
باز همان جا رویم جمله که آن شهر ماست
گوهر پاک از کجا عالم خاک از کجا
بر چه فرود آمدیت بار کنید این چه جاست
بخت جوان یار ما دادن جان کار ما
قافله سالار ما فخر جهان مصطفاست

Twenty Thousands Wishes

Oh, the epitome of goodness, who are you that I seek?
Oh, flower in our garden, where are you? Where are you?
Sosan, with a hundred tongues, could not guide me to you,
Saying, "Do not seek me, except through prayer and praise."
Even if the cypress reached to your height,
The narcissus, if it had eyes, could not behold you.
On every side, the people, the demons, and the deities have lined up,
But in this tavern, there is no place for their feet.
Through your grace, I gaze with delight upon eternity,
For how can the fleeting world deceive me, O Master?
I had twenty thousand wishes before,
But now, in the desire for you, no hope remains.
Oh, you who bring comfort in times of pain,
You who transform the bitterness of poverty into spiritual wealth,
I bow down to you with all my being and lay my head in the dust,
Saying, "Of all these, the love of the beloved is my true desire."

With every breath, the melody of love reaches us from left and right,
We ascend to the heavens to behold the spectacle that unfolds so bright.
We have dwelled in the heavens, we have been companions to the angels,
And now we return to that city of ours, where our hearts truly belong.
From where did the pure pearl come? From where did the earthly realm arise?
Why have you descended here? What is the purpose of this sojourn in disguise?
Our fortune is our youth, our destiny is to give our lives,
Our leader is the glory of the world, Muhammad, the chosen one of God.
