اشک امانم برید ، بغض گلویم درید
کاش فراوان شوی بر شب باران من
ریح شما را فقط ، خود بدهی رایح ها
هیچ شوم ؛ بی تو نیست ، رایح و ریحان من
هر چه که دارم ز تو ، کاش ز خود داشتم
پیش تو قربان کنم ، شاهد قربان من
هر چه سیه در من است ، شر شیطان کشان
نور بفرمای نور ، بر رخِ سوزان من
روح شما از الست پاک به جانم رسید
رو سیه از رویتان ، رحمت و رحمان من
جهل چو باشد ز تو، راه خطا اختیار
در تو نگنجد خطا ، فرصتِ جبران من
صبر کنم بر رخت ، تا که شروعم رسد
رخت ببندم ز خاک ، اولِ پایانِ من
کبر چو شیطان بوَد، شرح الف این بوَد.
در پس کبر آمدی؛ اکبر اوزان من

O flax, and the flax of my life, O flax...

You give life to my soul, my soul like Mount Taftan
You give spirit to my corpse, my corpse that cries
O the entirety of my soul, the prosperity of my shop
When will you open a door, in the door of my prison?
O flax, and the flax, the flax of my life...

Tears have taken my patience, sobs have torn my throat
I wish you would rain down upon my rainy night
Only you can give fragrance to this wind
Without you, there is no fragrance or basil for me
Whatever I have from you, I wish I had from myself
Sacrificed before you, a witness to my sacrifice
Whatever is dark within me, evil that drives away devils
Command the light to shine, upon my burning face
Your spirit from the unseen has reached my soul
My face is dark from your face, your mercy and compassion
When ignorance is from you, the path of error is chosen
There is no error in you, the opportunity for my redemption
I will wait for your face, until my beginning comes
I will tie my cloak with dust, the first end of my end
