Sometimes I feel like I've reached a point in my life where all my interactions
Begin the same way and it's up to whoever is on the other end of that interaction
To receive that energy and do with it what they want
I can't help but be myself, but it blurs the lines of what I want out of relationships
This line of the poem is about becoming
It's easy to receive information and change accordingly
But it's even harder to remain yourself
We must be mutable and change with the times
This is inevitable
But we must not lose ourselves adjusting with the times
Sometimes it's those qualities that resonate forever
You can be what the world needs if you don't let it break you
It's hard...

„Used To“ ist so ein guter Song. Die Finger über 4-5 Bünde zu strecken ist schwer...
Manchmal fühle ich mich, als hätte ich einen Punkt in meinem Leben erreicht, an dem alle meine Interaktionen
gleich beginnen und es an demjenigen liegt, der am anderen Ende dieser Interaktion steht,
diese Energie zu empfangen und damit zu tun, was sie wollen
Ich kann nicht anders, als ich selbst zu sein, aber das verwischt die Grenzen dessen, was ich von Beziehungen will
Diese Zeile des Gedichts handelt vom Werden
Es ist leicht, Informationen zu empfangen und sich entsprechend zu ändern
Aber es ist noch schwerer, man selbst zu bleiben
Wir müssen wandelbar sein und uns mit der Zeit ändern
Das ist unvermeidlich
Aber wir dürfen uns nicht selbst verlieren, während wir uns der Zeit anpassen
Manchmal sind es diese Eigenschaften, die für immer nachklingen
Du kannst das sein, was die Welt braucht, wenn du nicht zulässt, dass sie dich zerbricht
