pours

fragrant,
sweet-smelling

a

We
have
given
it
in
joy

scent

remembrance,

purest
qualities

the

Lord

abundant
spring

رِوايا
And
you
were
fragrant,
and
you
were
a
narrative
وذكرى

نسيم
عنيد

the
memory
of
the
mosque
is
an
obstinate
breeze
فإشراق
عطر
روى
لي
شذايا
So
the
radiance
of
perfume
has
narrated
my
fragrances
to
me
حكايا
الإخاء
ونبض
الوفاء
Stories
of
brotherhood
and
the
pulse
of
loyalty
وكان
لنا
فوق
كل
الهدايا
And
it
was
above
all
the
gifts
for
us
وعلياء
سُحب
علينا
همت
And
the
loftiness
of
clouds
has
aspired
upon
us
فأروت
وأسقت
قفار
الحنايا
So
they
watered
and
irrigated
the
barren
wilderness
ولما
ارتواء
حوتنا
بحب
And
when
our
satiety
was
filled
with
love
غدوت
أرتل
جمّ
دُعايا
I
began
to
chant
many
supplications
وكان
الكتاب
عماد
الوداد
And
the
book
was
the
pillar
of
affection
زرعنا
به
وردة
في
الحنايا
With
it
we
planted
a
rose
in
our
hearts
ثوابت
حق
بها
لا
نزيغ
The
constants
of
truth
with
which
we
do
not
deviate
وفي
الفتن
العاصفة
حِمايا
And
in
the
stormy
tribulations,
protection
ولي
غيمة
من
قلوب
حوتني
And
I
have
a
cloud
of
hearts
that
have
embraced
me
تكاتفن
حولي
فكنّ
ضِيايا
They
have
joined
forces
around
me
and
have
become
lights
لبسنا
رداء
العلوم
بفخر
We
wore
the
robe
of
knowledge
with
pride
وكنّ
عتادي
لليل
البلايا
And
they
were
my
provisions
for
the
night
of
disasters
وكنّ
لقلبي
زواجل
حب
And
they
were
for
my
heart
turtledoves
of
love
وقد
خبأوا
لي
كثير
الخفايا
And
they
have
hidden
many
secrets
for
me
دعاؤهمُ
جنة
في
دروبي
Their
supplications
are
a
paradise
in
my
paths
وقربهمُ
في
صباحي
منايا
And
their
closeness
is
in
my
morning,
my
desires
لهم
في
فؤادي
مراتع
ودّ
They
have
in
my
heart
pastures
of
love
فداهمُ
عابري
ونبض
يدايا
So
I
redeem
them
with
my
hands
and
the
pulse
of
my
hands
أحبهمُ
إي
وربي
كثيراً
I

Lord,

ولي
من
غفير
الوداد
رجايا

hopes
for
abundant
forgiveness
ظلال
الإله
نفيء
إليها

shades
of
God,

which
we
resort
ونفرح
بالحب
تحلوا
الحنايا

we
rejoice
in
love
that
sweetens
our
hearts
وأسأله
من
نعيم
الخلود
And
I
ask
Him
for
the
bliss
of
eternity
