Mit letzter Kraft gingen Maria und Joseph zu dem
Kleinen Stall und wurden von den Tieren herzlich begrüßt.
Da waren ein Ochse, eine Kuh, vier Ziegen und drei Schafe.
Sie strahlten soviel Wärme aus, das niemand frieren musste
Und Maria und Joseph hatten endlich einen Platz zum Ausruh'n gefunden.

Die Sterne funkelten so hell wie nie zuvor
Und der allergrößte leuchtete durch einen Dachspalt
Direkt auf Maria herunter.
Sie hatte gerade ihr Kind geboren.

Die Engel sangen ein liebliches Wiegenlied,
Ganz leise und wunderschön.

With the last of their strength, Mary and Joseph made their way to the
Small stable and were greeted warmly by the animals.
There was an ox, a cow, four goats and three sheep.
They gave off so much warmth that no one had to freeze
And Mary and Joseph had finally found a place to rest.

The stars sparkled brighter than ever before
And the greatest of all shone through a crack in the roof
Straight down on Mary.
She had just given birth to her child.

The angels sang a lovely lullaby,
Very softly and beautifully.
