Fél 7-kor csörgött a szomszédban az óra,
Hétig az ágyban még álmodoztam rólad.
Beköszönt hozzám a hétköznapi reggel,
Számított rá, hogy jobb lábbal kelek fel.
Főztem egy kávét s fésülködni kezdtem,
Kihűlt, mint mindig s még kócosabb lettem.

Délben hamburger volt csak az ebédem,
így volt néhány percem, hogy napozzak a téren.
Bámult egy srác, sőt elindult utánam,
Hátra sem néztem, de nem is nagyon bántam.
A délután végül egész gyorsan eltelt,
Sok volt a munkám, tettem, amit kellett.
Ma semmi sem bántott, úgy örültem, hogy élek,
Mert még nem tudtam, hogy elmentél.
Hazafelé a Katihoz benéztem,
Hogy türkizkék blúzát egy napra kölcsön kérjem.
Adott még hozzá egy csíkos olasz farmert,
Hogy szebb legyek este, egy kicsit ki is festett.
A sarki közértben vettem néhány dolgot,
Sajnos a kedvenc édes borom nem volt.

Mert még nem tudtam, hogy elmentél.

At 6:30, the clock rang next door,
Until seven, I dreamt about you in bed.
The ordinary morning greeted me,

I bought a few things at the corner grocery store,
