Nir Felder十分年轻，西元2005年才刚从波士顿的百克里音乐学院毕业。

在集合一堆天才的地方击败所有其他天才，当然厉害！也因此，
一毕业就有一堆已经成名的大师邀他合作，如萨克斯风手Greg Osby、
吉他手John Scofield、才女贝斯手Esperanza Spalding等等。
《Golden Age》是Nir Felder加盟老字号新包装的OKeh唱片公司首张作品，
邀请另外三位同样年轻且才华洋溢的音乐家合作，钢琴手Aaron Parks、
贝斯手Matt Pemman与鼓手Nate Smith。专辑标题《Golden Age》，
Felder想表达的想法很深刻："我们活在一个黄金年代吗？"、"你经历过所谓的黄金年代吗？
"、"什么是黄金年代？"、"我们的年代是在变好，还是变坏？"...，
藉由音乐表达自己对这个时代一切现象的反思。年纪轻轻已有"乐以载道"的野心，
千万不可小觑！最特别的地方在于他音乐里不时取样穿插一些过往名人的言谈纪录，
你可能听出来谁是谁的，包括纽约洋基队着名铁人Lou Gehrig、人权斗士Malcolm X，
以及一生功过褒贬不一的美国前总统Richard Nixon等等。
每首曲子都很有味道，比方说第五轨《Code》，
有点像是遥对"骊歌"〈Auld Lang Syne〉致敬的调调。至于其他曲目，就请您自行品味了。
噢对了，Nir Felder小时后的偶像是Stevie Ray Vaughan，
据说他现在还在弹那把13岁时花250美金买下的Stratocaster呢！

Nir Felder is notably young, who graduated from Boston's Berklee College of Music in 2005.
During his study, he won the school's "Jimi Hendrix Award" for guitar. Just imagine,
to have defeated all other talents in a place full of talents is certainly impressive!
Thus, right after his graduation, many renowned masters invited him to collaborate,
including saxophonist Greg Osby, guitarist John Scofield, talented bassist Esperanza Spalding, etc.
Golden Age is Nir Felder's first work after joining the reputable OKeh Records.
He has invited three other equally talented musicians to collaborate, namely pianist Aaron Parks,
bassist Matt Pemman, and drummer Nate Smith. Regarding the album title, Golden Age,
Felder desires to convey a profound message: "Are we in a golden age?", "Have you experienced a so-called golden age?",
"What is a golden age?", "Is our time getting better or worse?"...etc.,
through music, express his reflections towards all phenomena of this era. His ambition to "convey his thoughts through music"
at a young age should not be underestimated! The most exceptional part is his music often samples and inserts
recordings of quotes from past renowned figures. You may recognize some of them,
including the legendary iron man of New York Yankees, Lou Gehrig, human rights activist Malcolm X,
and former US President Richard Nixon, who received mixed criticism throughout his life.
Each track possesses its unique flavor; for instance, the fifth track, Code,
seems to pay homage to "Auld Lang Syne" to a certain extent. As for the other tracks,
I would leave them for you to savor. Oh, by the way, Nir Felder's childhood idol was Stevie Ray Vaughan.
