E quando de noite a Lua vem destapando meu rancho
Agarro na gaita velha que guardo erguida num gancho

It is the fate of the tapejaras to drink messages
That the wind brings in the breezes from the depths of clear nights

I was born in the middle of the countryside, on the coast of the swamp
