Mainu Yaar Di Namaaz

Allow me to offer you the prayer of remembrance for my beloved.
Then make me forget the pain of separation
I circumambulate the Kaaba, seeking him there,
Then make me forget the pain of separation
The grace of my beloved has come
He has sweetened me with his love and beauty
If not, I would have died in a strange land
He has protected my beloved's honor,
Oh moon, what can I say,
You remind me of my beloved
I have realized my own faults
You have made me aware of my need for remembrance.
Wherever fate takes me,
That is the path to my beloved
It is for him that I endure crucifixion,
For him that I have endured the pain of love
My beloved has come himself, he is the real lover.
He understands the ways of this world
This tale of love is an ancient one.
The truth has been spoken by the saints
Then make me forget the pain of separation
Once the heart has been given to the beloved, it cannot be forgotten.
Once the head has been placed at the beloved's feet, it cannot be lifted.
My heart is one, my soul is one
My faith is one, my belief is one
When God, the Prophet, and the Quran are all one,
No other beloved can be made.
The forgetful are given a handful of dust.
Oh forgetful one, come to the mosque.
What good is a mosque if
The prayers are not offered regularly?
How can one be truly pure
If there is impurity within?
Without a perfect guide, the forgetful one goes astray.
However much worship is performed...
Then make me forget the pain of separation
I am destined to perish in the field of love.
I will never betray my beloved
Let me sit at my beloved's feet,
Leave the prayer beads and cast aside the prayer mat.
Show me the neighborhood of my beloved.
Let me bow my head at my beloved's door.
Then make me forget the pain of separation
