Yaar da Makaan

My thoughts have become entangled in my thoughts,
I have grown weary of thinking.
Which way should I go now?
This disease has consumed my heart.
On one side is my God, the worshiper,
On the other side is my beloved,
I cannot choose which way to go,
I am trapped in the middle.
Where can I offer my prayers, my heart is troubled,
My beloved's home is on the road to the Kaaba.
There are two pilgrimage sites, to which gate should I bow my head?
Tell me, should I go to my beloved or to my God?
I am compelled to visit both places,
My beloved is essential, and my God is essential.
Where should I go first, my mind is in turmoil,
My beloved's home is on the road to the Kaaba.
Sometimes my heart desires to go to my beloved,

If I go to God first, my beloved will be upset.
My God, I have no other refuge or support,
My beloved, there is not a moment that passes without you,
One is my life, the other is my soul,

I will appease my God and I will satisfy my beloved.
I cannot understand, this is a difficult test,
