옛날 꽤나 아주 먼 옛날 옛적 이야기
시골 조그만 마을 웃음을 파는 광대가 살고 있었대

그리고 거기서 꿈에도 그리던 그녀와 꼭 닮은 소녀를 만났어
그녀의 옆에는 사내가 있었고
그 사내는 괴로운 얼굴로 자신의 딸을 살려달라고 말했지
눈물도 웃음도 없는 가녀린 소녀의 소원은
울거나 웃거나 감정을 느껴보는것
피에로는 자신의 아내를 꼭 닮은 소녀에게
웃음을 주기 위해서 온 힘을 다했지만 그녀는 결코 웃지 않았어
시간이 갈수록 몸과 마음은 말라 비틀어져
피에로는 결국 소녀를 위해서 목숨을 건 마지막 곡예를 펼쳤어
팽팽한 외줄 위에서 비행하는 피에로의 팔과 다리는
황홀하게 소녀의 얼굴에 미소를 수놓았어
그 순간 피에로는
소녀의 미소와 함께 외줄 아래로 영원히 추락했어
웃으며 바닥에 누워 있는 피에로를 보고는
소녀의 눈에선 눈물이 흘렀고
눈물이 바닥에 닿자마자
자신의 피보다 붉디 붉은 새빨간 다이아몬드로 변해버렸어

Pierrot's Tears, Pt. 2

Once upon a time, in a far, far away land
There lived a clown in a small, rural town, who sold laughter
Rumor has it
The man had lost his wife a few years earlier and became Pierrot, a wandering clown
He had no home, no family, no friends, no place to rest his head
And on his pale white face, tears always glistened
Like bright red diamonds
His tears sparkled so
Like his wife's lips, which used to be so red and inviting
When I remember, when I remember my wife, I stay up all night
When I miss her, when I miss her, I burn with longing
I follow the melody of the violin and viola, and I dance like crazy
