Speed and alcohol, the papers equated
For the record, good judgement was not demonstrated
Rest assured this one was not drug related

Explains to her kids how their daddy died
She closes the door to the room where he used to try

La chanson que je vais chanter maintenant, je l'ai écrite au printemps de l'année dernière.
Mon style d'écriture change à chaque saison, donc
C'est basé sur une histoire vraie.
Elle s'appelle "S'en aller".

Il a brisé la barrière et a dévalé la colline.
Un son de tonnerre, puis tout est devenu immobile.
A la maison, la veuve se demandait où il était allé.
Le soir, la prairie chante sans se soucier.
Ses yeux regardent fixement le ciel.
Les voitures au-dessus de lui continuaient de rouler.

Vitesse et alcool, les journaux ont fait le rapprochement.
