Un jour le long de la route il y eut un accident
On trouva la pauvre fille le corps tout couvert de sang
On fit demander un prêtre pour qu'elle puisse se confesser
Mais le destin si cruel de la mort avait passé

Où est donc cette jeune fille c′est ce que l'on demandait
Elle avait quitté la ville Dieu lui seul sait où elle est

This is the story of a young girl who was only sixteen years old
Who left for the big city despite all her good parents
Watching her poor mother cry like a child
As well as her poor father, she left whistling

To tell you what bitter grief her parents must have had
They knew the misery she would have before long
Among the immense dangers that surrounded her constantly
She walked away smiling without even worrying about the wind

One day along the road there was an accident
The poor girl was found with her body covered in blood
A priest was asked to make her confession
But the cruel fate of death had passed

Where is this young girl, that's what people were asking
She had left the city, God alone knows where she is
