Last Christmas Eve
Do you still remember?
We walked hand-in-hand,
Along that familiar little street.

Holding hands and making a wish
For another Christmas
With love remaining unchanged.

Now Christmas is here
Where are you, my dear?
You have left the little street
Leaving me in bewilderment.

This Christmas is so cold,
For you are not here to warm me,
My heart is in the freeze.

On a whim, I wandered out
And saw a familiar figure
I thought it was you,
My happiness overflowed
and warmth returned in abundance,
For though we had not planned it, you had come.

And then came the surprise,
For it was not the figure of my past
Was it just a dream?
