C′era una volta e ormai non c'è più

Ma quando fu inverno la neve fioccò
E il piccolo gnomo bloccato sul colle si trovò
Non c'era più legna né un pezzo di pane
A pianger la fame al freddo da solo lui restò
Allora gli amici del bosco
Che aveva lasciato laggiù
Non persero neanche un minuto
Per dare allo gnomo un aiuto
Chi aveva le ali volava Su quella casetta lassù
Il cibo e la legna portava
E un caro saluto gli dava

Once upon a time, it's gone

This story begins like this
Tell the story that a past time
The gnome Deodate of standing in the woods tired
Hot, boisterous and a little cocky
One summer day to live alone he left
He made his little house
On the peak of a hill
He lived far from the world alone up there
The animal friends of the forest

But when it was winter the snow flocked
And the little gnome stuck on the hill found himself
There was no more wood or a piece of bread
To cry hunger in the cold alone he remained
Then the friends of the forest
That he left over there
They didn't lose a minute
To give the gnome some help

Food and wood brought
And a warm greeting gave him
Moved the gnome Deodato

And when the snow melted
In the woods he had left again he returned
