夏が始まり あえてどこも行かずに
設定温度17度の部屋で 寝っころがってアイス食ってた

今夜は花火大会があるらしい 灼熱地獄に飛び出してゆく
光化学スモッグ、排気ガスを かきわけて原付乗って走る
日焼けのしていない顔がゆがむ 遠くのアスファルトみたいに

ああ どうせまた モノクロ気味な夏の日を
賞味期限の切れた 思い出で味付けしている
現実よりも長い夢から覚めた時
また新しい朝日が 夜空を完食した後だった

久しぶりに歩くと 息も切れて足も棒 汗だくで
人ごみを避けながら イヤホンで耳ふさいで伏し目がち

待ち合わせ場所に先についたけど 友達はちょっと遅れると言う
読みかけの本の続きを読もうかな 宙に浮いた時間潰すために
青かった空が朱色に変わる 夏の日も折り返しまできてる
都会の喧騒が邪魔をしてる なんでこんなにも

少年のような純粋な気持ちよみがえる
夜空に咲き乱れた 巨大な光に包まれて
迷いも嘘も 絶えず拭えぬ猜疑心も
炸裂音とともに 今だけは消え去ってしまうんだ

つかの間の幸せでも
間違った喜びでも
気まぐれの優しさでも
悔しいな 嬉しいと思う

夏の終わりに 後悔するその前に

少年のような純粋な気持ちよみがえる
夜空に咲き乱れた 巨大な光に包まれて
迷いも嘘も 絶えず拭えぬ猜疑心も
炸裂音とともに 今だけは消え去ってしまえ
ああ 今日みたいな カラフル色の夏の日も
年月に毒されて いつかは色褪せてしまうけど
多くの人が 足を止め 花火を見てる

Summer has started, but I've ventured nowhere
In my room set to 17 degrees, I lie down and eat ice cream
Wrapped up in a towel, my mind wanders
In the closed room where the sunlight doesn't reach, I drift in a sea of reverie

My cell phone rings somewhere
I pick it up and see my friend's invitation
Apparently there's a fireworks display tonight
I ride my moped through the scorching heat

Ah, so again, I'll have another monochrome summer day
Spiced with expired memories
When I awake from a dream longer than reality
Another new sunrise has devoured the night sky

It's been a while since I've walked, so I'm out of breath, my legs are sore, and I'm drenched in sweat
I avoid the crowds, headphones over my ears, and keep my gaze down

I arrived at our meeting place first, but my friend is running a little late
I guess I'll continue reading my book, to kill some time
The sky that was once blue now turns vermillion
The city's clamor disturbs me

My heart feels pure like a child's
Enveloped in the immense light blooming in the night sky
My doubts, my lies, my lingering suspicions
All vanish for now with the explosive sounds

Even if it's ephemeral
Even if it's a misguided joy
Even if it's a capricious kindness
Regrettably, it makes me happy

Before I regret it at summer's end

My heart feels pure like a child's
