The desert turned to mud
It seems that everybody heard

To forget they had the chills
Then I heard the voices on a broadcast
From up on the bird
They were getting interviewed
By some good man whose name was Bill

I'm almost there to Vegas
Where they're puttin' on a show
They've come so far
I've lived this long, at least
I must just go and say hello

Je roulais sans but précis,
Sur les rives du Grand Lac Salé,
Quand ils l'ont annoncé à la radio,
J'ai mis les gaz,
Je me suis vite oublié,

J'ai oublié toutes les lois,
Et j'ai oublié la pluie.

Ils parlaient sur la 9,

Il y avait tellement de monde sur la route,
Que j'ai commencé à rouler dans le sable.

D'oublier qu'ils avaient des frissons.
Puis j'ai entendu les voix d'une émission,
Venant d'en haut, de l'hélicoptère,
Ils étaient interviewés,
Par un homme bien dont le nom était Bill.

Je suis presque arrivé à Vegas,
Où ils donnent un spectacle,
Ils sont venus de si loin,
J'ai vécu assez longtemps, au moins,
Je dois juste aller les saluer.
