Ajab hai kaif ajab hai khumar aankhon me
Basa hua hai nabi (saw) ka dayar aankhon me
Jo aayi yaden madina to ansuon ki tarah
Jo paa liya hai use beqarar aankhon me
Khade hue hain tere dar pe tere deewane
Wafa ki nazr liye ashk baar aankhon me
Qasam khuda ki madina jinhonne dekha hai
Main dhoondh lunga wo ankhen hazar aankhon
Metasawwurat me taiba hai roo baroo shayar
Rachi hui hai mujassam bahaar aankhon me
Ajab hai kaif ajab hai khumar aankhon me
Basa hua hai nabi (saw) ka dayar aankhon me

Oh, Such Enchantment

Oh, such enchantment, oh, such intoxication in my eyes,
For the abode of the Prophet (saw) resides in my eyes.
When memories of Madina come to me, like tears
I find that which has made my eyes restless.
Your devotees stand at your doorstep,
With offerings of loyalty and tears in their eyes.
I swear by God, those who have seen Madina
I will find those eyes among a thousand.
In my imagination, Taiba is before the poet,
A beautiful springtime has been spread out before my eyes.
Oh, such enchantment, oh, such intoxication in my eyes,
For the abode of the Prophet (saw) resides in my eyes.
