E residente al pianterreno nonché proprietaria

In cima a destra vicino al cielo abita un signore inesistente.

"Amministratrice da molti anni ormai,
Non ho motivo di lamentarmi mai di lui,
Per cui convivo con il silenzio suo apparente, ma vivo.
Nessuno, né la sottoscritta, né tantomeno qualcuno

Raptus (The Non-Existent Gentleman)

The peculiar thing about the grimy, damp walls
Swollen with time and condominiums of this eponymous
Gray building just outside the city center,
Is not perhaps due to the various rebuildings
Lost in centuries and centuries of history,
As much as the strange and rather abstract fact that here always,
At least since grandma was still alive
And living on the ground floor and also owner
Of the entire real estate, well on the last window
At the top right near the sky lives a non-existent gentleman.
(There's no one inside that flat, come on come on come on).

"Manager for many years now,
I have no reason to complain about him,
So I live with his apparent, but living, silence.
No one, neither I nor anyone else
Of the poor, incredulous tenants has ever seen him,
Nonetheless he's disliked, but from my modest point of view,
Assuming he exists, he remains an exemplary tenant:
He doesn't dirty the stairs, he doesn't make noise,
He doesn't disturb the peace of the condominium and,
A detail that may seem trivial,
He pays (everybody knows it) in advance and,
Usually enclosed in a sealed envelope, he uses, like a true gentleman
Of good manners, to accompany the monthly expenses
Two lines of apology regarding his secluded absence;
He says he can't explain why he doesn't expose himself to the real world,
But he regrets having put everyone on the cross.
He knows that knowing that he's not there to the tenants no, no, doesn't give peace."
